Special Levels of Earthly Hell

An Atheist's Experience with Demonic Possession

This book was inspired by both factual events and first hand accounts. The author has drawn from her personal knowledge of a series of true anecdotal events and woven them into a story that is frighteningly close to the truth. While some of the less significant events are fictional, created by the author to provide a more cohesive story, most story lines are as close to the truth as the author's knowledge and research will allow. Still, when writing about the paranormal, the author must acknowledge that each reader, on an individual basis, will choose what he or she wishes to believe.

As an educated journalist, the author stands behind the crux of this story and the horror behind it. Extensive interviews have been conducted and court records have been researched. The characters have been fictionalized to the extent that their names have been changed and some life events invented for the sake of story-telling. Liberty has been taken with relatively few story-lines, and timelines have been changed to enhance the flow of the story.

The story's main character is an atheist. The author is a trained journalist. In many ways this presents a parallel. Each begins with a wary eye and searches for a truth he or she can accept. In this case, the author has chosen to accept the experience of the atheist, a decision based on a leap she never thought she would have to make.

Editorial Review

"This book is basically the modern and above-ground version of Dante's Inferno. To feel its depths is going to hurt. A lot. But the many layers of humanity expressed in this makes it a truly powerful read...and if you crave to to read of people's personal paranormal experiences - this book is going to blow your mind." - Jeanette Andromeda, "Horror Made."
